“Inspire London’s residents & its visitors to travel by Thames Clippers – the fastest fleet on the river”
Thames Clippers set this project for the annual YCN student competition. The brief was to inspire more London commuters and tourists to use the fast and frequent Thames Clipper services, which departs from major London piers from The O2 right through to the London Eye. As well as running scheduled services between the Tate Modern and Tate Britain. Along with a dedicated express service for concert goers to The O2.
With London’s roads and underground ever increasingly overcrowded I wanted my final solution to attract both commuters and tourists. The inspiration for my concepts came from the ideal of a “Message in a bottle” and a “Ship in a Bottle”. The intention is to have Thames Clippers mineral water, which could be sold on board their fleet of catamarans and can be handed out as part of a promotional campaign.
The message would take the form of a label, which would feature the Thames Clipper route map and company information. The slogans “Rehydrate Your Journey” and “A Refreshing Way To Travel” would accompany the label design.
